Kids Piano Lessons Near West Hollywood

I teach kids at the studio in the Fairfax District, right next to West Hollywood. My youngest students are 3 and 4, so an 8-year-old beginner is easy. We start with songs, chords and rhythm so piano is fun early. Reading and technique come in along the way.

Most young beginners do well with 30-minute lessons at $40, weekly or every other week. I can also come to your home in nearby LA neighborhoods. Start with the $20 intro, at the studio or online (tell me which when you book). We see how your child takes to it and pick a starting point. More on kids piano lessons.

Common Questions

How much do piano lessons cost?

Lessons are $40 for 30 minutes or $60 for an hour. Everyone starts with a $20, 30-minute intro, and it's credited toward your first month if you keep going.

Do I need my own piano at home?

Yes, get something to practice on. A cheap 61-key keyboard is plenty for a beginner. I'll help you pick one that fits your budget.

What ages do you teach?

Everyone. Kids, teens, adults. My youngest students are 3 and 4, and there's no upper limit. Plenty of my adult students are beginners. That's completely fine.

Is this a good fit for my 8-year-old?

Usually, yes. My youngest students are 3 and 4. Kids around 8 usually start with 30-minute lessons, weekly or every other week. The $20 intro is the easiest way to see how your kid takes to it before you commit.

Do you teach online lessons?

Yes. In person at the studio by West Hollywood, or online over Zoom or FaceTime. With a decent setup, online piano works better than people expect.

What styles of piano do you teach?

Classical, jazz, pop, R&B, film scoring and theory. If you want to make your own music, I bring production in too.
